The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. These summer apples are ready to eat if you like them slightly green they were a softer yellow, lost the green tint, in a day or so. This is the point I enjoy eating them. Though for applesauce it is better to wait a week and catch them a little over ripe and sweet.

I would rather be behind a camera than in front of it. The outdoors is my favorite studio. I take pictures of what I see from close up to the wide world around me.
