The monarch butterfly is the state insect for Idaho and Illinois. This one hatched about an hour before this picture was taken. The wings still had some slight wrinkles in them. About ten more minutes and the butterfly had flown away.

I would rather be behind a camera than in front of it. The outdoors is my favorite studio. I take pictures of what I see from close up to the wide world around me. Bugs and insects to the colors of the flowers with a bit of sports thrown in, toys, tools and nature are my subjects. You will also see my newest art as digitally created. From kaleidoscopes (from my pictures), out of frame (pictures changed to have a 3D effect) to pure creations the computer is the art tool I will use. Hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoyed creating it.
